Proportion is a training company with a reputation for excellence in the transfer of project management competence from the instructor to the course participant. Proportion instructors have experience in project management in Construction disciplines such as architecture, Civil Engineering, as well as Information Technology, Finance & Banking, etc. This working experience provides for realism in training through sharing actual situations that have occurred in projects. Each instructor has 10 or more years teaching experience.
Proportion follows the International Project Management Association’s (IPMA) definition of project management as articulated by its USA Member Association, the American Society for the Advancement of Project Management (asapm). This model encompasses the project contextual and human behavioral aspects as well as the project technical elements to give a comprehensive understanding of project management in the workplace.
Proportion has tailored its courses of instruction over time to meet the continually evolving nature of project management. The course material is refreshed periodically to meet the needs of clients by adding new exercises and giving new examples of topics.
Proportion’s training is consistent with the IPMA’s international certification qualifications. Following Proportion’s project management course, clients have generally experienced over 75 percent pass rate in the IPMA Level D certification.

Stromeyer and Partners Consulting

Houston, Texas, USA and Nuremberg, Germany, July 15, 2009 -- Ottmann and Partners Management Consulting and Stromeyer and Partners Consulting announced today that they have started a joint venture in the training of project managers.
In addition to trainings in Europe, Asia and South America, which have been successfully performed for 20 years, starting in August, the trainings are now offered in North America as well.
Accordingly, trainings will now take place at the Alliance Center in Houston, Texas, right next to the NASA Johnson Space Center. For those, who are interested, a special guided tour in the NASA Johnson Space Center can be arranged at an additional day after class conclusion.
Project Management Courses are offered both in German and English:
- Project Management Basic Training (a 3-day class)
- Project Management Associate (IPMA International Project Management Association) Certification Training (a nine-day class, broken into three sections per three days each) with optional certification examination
- Project Manager (IPMA) Certification Training (a four-day class, for certified project management associates, for the preparation for certification as project managers, senior project managers or project directors)
Program highlights:
- Special presentation by a former astronaut trainee, training manager and project manager for space projects about the specific challenges and adventures of Space Project Management
- Display of the Space Shuttle, the lunar rover, Gemini and Apollo Capsules
- IMAX theatre showing movies about the life of astronauts and the International Space Station and a visit of the Johnson Space Center.
So far, 10 project directors, more than 400 Project Managers and Senior Project Managers and more than 3,600 Project Management Associates were successfully prepared in our courses for the IPMA certification. More than 5,300 trainees participated in our Project Management Basic Training.
