asapm—Who We Are
asapm is a not-for-profit professional society dedicated to advancing the project management discipline. Working with members, asapm provides the leadership for professional growth of both members and the profession.
Enhancement of the profession benefits project practitioners, their respective organizations, and the project management community. asapm is working at the forefront of the project management discipline to push practices, procedures, and techniques to their best use.
asapm is a member-driven organization with member involvement in all professional development activities. This web site provides our members and industry with current, relevant project management information. Member involvement and member activities will bring more and better information to enhance the practice of project management.
We encourage m embers to volunteer your time, knowledge, and energy to advance the discipline. Members are encouraged to participate in the management, direction, and activities of asapm, as an organization serving others.

Newsletter and PM Publications
Developing articles and whitepapers that support project management planning, design, and implementation while building on individual and organizational Competence.
Research
Designing and implementing projects that conduct research into individual and organizational needs for improved Competences.
Business Roundtable
Designing and implementing projects that involve business leaders to identify their project needs and to develop solutions for those needs.
Annual Conference
Designing and implementing an annual conference that gives members an opportunity to discuss project management challenges with professionals.
Awards
Designing and implementing an awards program to publicly recognize the accomplishments and contributions to project management.
Certification
asapm offers a suite of Program and Project Manager certifications, beginning with the Knowledge-based IPMA-D, and continuing to Performance-Competence based certifications of Project Managers, Senior Project Managers, and Program Managers. Are you Certified as a PM?

asapm's International Connection
 asapm is the U.S.A. Member Affilliate of the International Project Management Association, a global organization of Project Management Associations. As such, asapm members receive two memberships in one, benefiting from both local and global recognition.
And as a result, our Multi-Level Competency Based Certifications are recognized in over 40 nations around the world.
asapm Program Areas
Standards
Our Standards initiatives include the USA National Competence Baseline for Program and Project Management, Organizational PM Performance Assessment, and improved PM Practices and Methods. These published (and soon-to-be-published) standards help fulfill our mission to advance the practice of Project Management, and help amplify your PM Performance.
Education and Learning
We help Academiic and organizational learners to improve knowledge, skills, competence, and PM Performance. Example: SCiPM (currently in pilot), Student Certificate in Project Management helps University PM programs offer their graduates an early start in PM Competence, with a curriculum, exam and certificate that is aligned with USA-NCB (National Competence Baseline), and IPMA's ICB.
Certification
Designing and implementing a multiple part competence-based certification program to acknowledge and attest to individuals' professional qualifications.
