Group Certifications for IPMA Level-A
Certified Program Manager


Stage 1

  1. group applyContact us regarding site, schedule, payment, and confidentiality requirements.

  2. Download the Stage 1 Application (click here) and distribute copies to the individuals you wish to have assessed.

  3. When all of your candidates have completed their Stage 1 Applications, submit the full batch to us.

  4. We will analyze the applications and provide you with a list of which candidates are eligible for which level.

Stage 2

  1. Download the Stage 2 Application (we supply the link) and distribute copies to the candidates who will be assessed.

  2. Candidates complete the Stage 2 application:

    • Part I contains demographic information and descriptions of projects the candidate has managed.

    • Part II is called the “Portfolio of Evidence” (PoE) and contains representative evidence of the work the candidate has done as a Program Mmanager.

    • Part III is a 360 degree assessment to be distributed to co-workers of the candidate’s choice.

  3. When all of your candidates have completed their Stage 2 Applications, submit the full batch to us.

Stage 3

  1. All candidates take the written exam on the morning of Day One.

  2. Candidates meet with our assessors as scheduled. Each candidate will be interviewed simultaneously by two assessors; each interview will last from 1.5-2 hours and will cover:
    • Any questions or concerns the assessors have about the authenticity, currency, validity, or sufficiency of the candidate’s Portfolio of Evidence.

    • All of the “questions to confirm understanding” from the Stage 2 Application instructions.

Assessment Results

  1. Assessment results will be provided within 3-6 weeks.

  2. Successful candidates will receive an ISO-17024-compliant certificate.

  3. Unsuccessful candidates will receive a list of the performance criteria that they failed to satisfy.

  4. Unsuccessful candidates may appeal their result. Click here for a description of the appeals process.
